The Marvelous Unspeaking Troupe of Entertaining Scoundrels, better known as, The M.U.T.E.S. are the nation's premiere silent film style sketch comedy troupe. They've been performing their own, unique brand of vaudevillian-revival around the Milwaukee area for a year now. You may have seen them at Next Act, Pridefest, Turner Hall, in one of many burlesque shows around town or maybe right here at The Alchemist. This week, they celebrate their one year anniversary by returning to the Alchemist to give you the best skits of the past year and some brand spankin' (not that kind, um ok there's a lot of spankin') new material. Russ Bickerstaff from Expressmilwaukee.com has said the M.U.T.E.S. have "...wealth of material to play on here and as they do so without language, there’s a kind of clever universality to the comedy that could gain a pretty big following" It will truly be a night to remember. Get ready to party like it's 1929 with the M.U.T.E.S!
